What we did in 2025, what we learned and what’s next for 2026
Always trying to do better
The team at You Do Better Ltd are proud to be a full-service marketing agency with a trusted reputation across its peers and within Worcestershire, Gloucestershire and Herefordshire.
With 64 five-star Google reviews, our clients know they can count on us for straightforward, effective marketing that delivers.
Our strength lies in our talented network of PR, marketing, digital and content professionals who can be called upon as and when they’re needed. That flexibility underpins everything we do. Whether clients need a one-off campaign, a few hours of support each month, or a fully outsourced marketing function, we tailor our services to suit.
We work on an hourly, daily or project basis, offering on-demand marketing expertise when and where it’s needed. For some, that means we act as their external marketing team. For others, we take on the role of on-site or off-site marketing manager, overseeing strategy, delivery and day-to-day coordination. It’s this agile model that lets us move quickly and deliver consistent results.
In 2025, that adaptability proved invaluable. From PR and destination marketing to SEO and PPC, we achieved strong outcomes for our clients while continuing to refine how we work. Here’s what we did, what we tested and what we’ll do differently in 2026.
1. PR with real results
PR continued to play a key role in 2025, supporting clients with campaigns that raised profiles and generated meaningful engagement. Public relations remains an important facet of marketing that is as underutilised as it is powerful. When it’s done well, it builds trust, shapes reputation and opens doors that advertising alone can’t.
A highlight was our ongoing work with the Moreton Show, which we supported for the fifth year running. We supported TV and broadcast coverage, including the Shed & Buried team filming on-site, arranged radio interviews with Sunshine Radio to boost awareness, and managed press releases and digital content, securing coverage across regional and national outlets.
Because we’ve worked with the Moreton Show for several years, we can react quickly when opportunities arise. It’s a perfect example of agile, long-term PR in action.
2. Destination marketing that works
Our destination marketing work also stood out in 2025. Again, Moreton Show provided a great example of collaboration and creativity, combining event promotion with wider storytelling.
Highlights included drone and video production with One Minute Wonders, paid social media campaigns during the event to capture real-time engagement, and coordinating on-site media access to ensure seamless coverage.
For 2026, we’ll focus on more immersive storytelling using 360° video, livestreams and improved data tracking to show how digital visibility drives real-world results.
3. Videography and Drone – capturing your story from every angle
A big addition for 2026 is our Videography & Drone service. This exciting expansion completes our wrap-around offering as a full-service marketing agency.
From cinematic brand storytelling to aerial footage that brings destinations, events and businesses to life, this new service lets us offer clients even more creative ways to engage their audiences. Whether it’s promotional videos, event coverage or social media-ready clips, our team can now plan, shoot and edit dynamic visual content that drives results.
Our collaboration with Droitwich Stairlifts perfectly demonstrates the power of this new capability. Working alongside our trusted video and drone associate, Mick Foley, we produced a series of authentic, story-led videos and photography that showcased the company’s family values, exceptional customer service and technical expertise. The result was engaging, accessible content that resonated with their audience and reinforced their trusted local reputation.
4. PPC and SEO in the age of AI
Digital marketing moved quickly in 2025, and we evolved with it. With AI reshaping search behaviour and ad performance, staying responsive was essential.
Our digital marketing team trialled AI-powered keyword and targeting tools to test campaign variations, adapted SEO content to suit voice and conversational search, and focused on combining data-led insights with human-led storytelling.
That balance between automation and experience will continue to guide our SEO and PPC work in 2026. You can read more about our digital services here.
5. Collaboration and strategic partnerships
Collaboration continued to be a cornerstone of our approach in 2025, strengthening how we work with partners and clients alike.
Our partnership with Crosby Associates Media has been a great example of this. Together, we’ve produced strategic marketing and PR support aligned with their respected portfolio of regional business publications, helping to promote success stories from across the UK.
We also maintained our ongoing collaboration with the Herefordshire & Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce, delivering content, event support and PR that champion local business.
In addition, we were invited to contribute to the launch edition of the new HW Today magazine by Distinctive Media. We were asked to write the BIG Interview for HW Today’s debut issue – you can read it here: The BIG Interview for HW Today launch magazine – highlighting our expertise in editorial storytelling and trusted voice within the local business community.
These partnerships show the value of staying connected, adaptable and open to shared opportunities. In 2026, we’ll continue to build on these strong relationships, co-creating campaigns, sharing expertise and expanding our reach across sectors.
Experience that drives success
You Do Better Ltd know that experience is the foundation of everything we do. Our collective skills – from PR and marketing to digital strategy, content creation and bid writing – have been honed through years of diverse client work and internal projects. This depth of knowledge allows us to bring strategic thinking and practical expertise to every campaign we deliver.
“It’s been a rewarding year: winning Moreton Show 2025 for the fifth year in a row was a real highlight for the team and being asked to conduct the very first BIG Interview: which we undertook with Christopher Holland the new Executive Chairman at Worcester Warriors, for the inaugural edition of HW Today magazine was an honour. I’m also thrilled that we’ve been invited to bid on some exciting new destination marketing projects – it highlights how far we’ve come and the reputation we’ve built for delivering creative, results-driven work.”
Ruby continues to work as an outsourced Marketing Manager for several businesses, including OCM, G Herbert Banks, Jackson Family Funeral Directors, and Droitwich Stairlifts. Acting as an extension of each team, Ruby ensures their marketing remains consistent, strategic and impactful – aligning creative ideas with measurable outcomes. This hands-on approach has become a defining part of how You Do Better supports its clients.
As Richard Banks of G Herbert Banks commented, “Ruby has transformed the way we approach marketing. Her expertise, organisation and drive have helped us modernise our communications and reach a wider audience than ever before.”
Similarly, Jennine Gilbert-Woods from OCM said, “Working with Ruby and the You Do Better team feels like having our own in-house marketing department. She just gets us, understands our business inside out, and makes things happen.”
2025 was also a year of team growth. We welcomed new members who have brought fresh ideas, new energy and specialist expertise to the business. Their enthusiasm and skills have strengthened our offering even further. Ruby would also like to thank everyone who has supported her and the agency throughout the year – from clients and collaborators to colleagues and partners – and to warmly welcome the new faces who are already helping make You Do Better even better.
Feedback
We also actively seek feedback and are always looking for ways to improve. To close the year, clients and collaborators received an end-of-year survey: we read their thoughts and are in the process of applying what we learn. This feedback will shape how we continue to refine our services and make 2026 even better for our clients.
“Taking the stress away from creating blogs, content…”
“Having Ruby as part of our team, working hard, one hundred miles an hour… and Ray is a pleasure to work with too, making every thing happen by magic in the back ground.”
Peer-to-peer support has also played a big role in 2025. Ruby’s involvement in BizSmart’s community has been invaluable, particularly after meeting a like-minded colleague at Kevin Brent’s BizSmart Sneak Peek event. These connections have provided shared learning and an ongoing co-coaching session, so we can keep doing better .
These collaborations and connections have shaped who we are as a business. They’ve given us insight into different industries, strengthened our approach to storytelling and taught us how to balance creativity with commercial results. Whether we’re managing PR for a national event, creating a digital campaign for an international brand, or developing strategic marketing materials for our clients, we hope our experience shines through in everything we do.
The team thrives on variety and challenge. We combine creativity with strategy, ensuring that every piece of content, campaign or communication delivers measurable impact. It’s this blend of skill and strategy that underpins our success and keeps us moving forward.
We’ve taken a model that works well – flexible, outsourced and expert-led marketing support – and successfully applied it to other businesses across multiple industries. It’s proof that when marketing is done differently, it really does deliver results.
