It’s that time of year again when marketing teams think about branding and the other PR opportunities that present themselves when Christmas comes.

Christmas in July has come and gone (yes, it’s a thing!) and content is currently being curated for festive product placements. Here are a few tips to help with increasing your brand profile at Christmas:

  • Plan – Know exactly what products and services you have to offer, when they’ll be launched and what price point they’ll be on sale for.
  • Assets – Make sure you have high res images and other assets like video, gifs, boomerang etc in your arsenal and think about having a primary image for press and a secondary image (or two) for social media? So your audience aren’t bored of seeing the same thing time and time again.
  • Bestsellers – Which are your hero items? What products sell out year on year? Make sure you have enough in stock so that your hard work pays off when the orders come in. There’s little point in marketing a product or service if you can’t deliver it!
  • USP – Which items will the press love? Can you send a sample? In an interesting way to grab attention? Does your media audience differ from your end product audience? What does each audience want to see?
