Award winning

Using PR to its full potential – we’ve certainly helped to raise the game for Pershore Tennis Centre. At the annual Hereford & Worcester County Awards Banquet – hosted at Worcester County Cricket Club and attended by all the major tennis clubs in the County – Pershore won Club of the year, County coach of the year, Young Person of the Year – won by rising-star Imogen Looker – and runner up for Steve’s Disability Programme of the Year. The Club will now have the opportunity to be recognised at a regional – and perhaps national – level early next year when they go up against other county winners.

You Do Better support the club, players and coaches with their successes and stories – spreading the news about their wins on and off court and completing their nominations. For example, we wrote the initial application in support of head coach – Steve Bauer – as well as the nomination for disability programme of the year; which we were awarded ‘runner-up’ this year and won in 2017.

We’re delighted that Steve and Pershore Tennis Centre have been recognised with the well-deserved awards. Steve said:

Thank you for your help – great work! It’s great having an expert like Ruby who knows exactly how best to present and post onto social media which is done instantly for you. My online presence has increased and I am seeing the benefits with more enquiries and more people taking up lessons. Thank you!

Chair and Ladies’ Captain, Sarah McCormick added:

To be awarded ‘Club of the Year’ is an amazing achievement for Pershore Tennis Centre. Four years ago with membership numbers dwindling and the outdoor courts reaching the end of their playing life the committee decided to take some bold steps. Winning ‘Club of the Year’ is a testament to those bold steps.  We knew we needed to increase our presence in the local community through social media, we knew we needed to offer our members more than just courts to play on and we knew that we needed to raise money to improve our facilities. It has taken us four years to achieve these goals …

We were certainly very happy to help the team and committee in achieving their goal – well done all!
